Hobbies
Away from dashboards and datasets, this is where the rest of the week goes.
Crochet
Crochet is the one hobby where a mistake shows itself immediately — drop a stitch and the whole row tells on you. Most weeks I'm somewhere in the middle of a blanket, a scarf, or a gift for someone who didn't ask for one.
Toastmasters
I joined a local Toastmasters club to get better at saying things out loud instead of just writing them down. Preparing a five-minute speech and walking a stakeholder through a dashboard turn out to need a lot of the same muscles — structure, a clear point, and knowing when to stop talking.
Paddle & Badminton
Weekends are for the court, not the keyboard. Paddle taught me patience — the ball comes back no matter what you do to it — and badminton keeps the reflexes honest. Neither has anything to do with data, which might be exactly why I need them.
Cooking
Cooking is the closest thing I have to a hobby with immediate feedback — you taste the result in twenty minutes, not twenty sprints. Weekdays are simple South Indian staples; weekends are for whatever recipe I've fallen down a rabbit hole researching.
